Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our students are a diverse group of learners who speak several different languages. Although many come from different countries, we have come together to form an amazing community. My students are a very fun, loving, and very active group of kids. Our school is a high poverty school with 85% of our students who receive free or reduced lunch. Although my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom, they still come to school with smiles on their faces and ready to learn.

My Project

My second grade students are an active bunch! To maximize our learning, I am turning our classroom into a flexible learning space. My biggest concern is keeping our room clean and organized. To help keep our room organized, my students need a storage bin to store their notebooks and folders as they move around the room. These mobile bins will be help my students stay organized and keep our room clean! My students also need to have clipboards so they may work on the floor, or on pillows around the classroom. These clipboards will help maximize our learning in the classroom by giving my students a choice of where they are seated as they learn.
