My Students

Do you remember the first time you went to school? How you just wanted to run and play with everything you saw? The students in our classroom feel the same way, however they are not yet able to regulate themselves to focus in this new environment; they need some supports to help them stay focused.

The students in our classroom are all Kindergartners.

They will stay with me until they are in 2nd grade. They all have Autism or ADHD and have a hard time regulating their senses. They need materials to give them extra sensory input, they need tactile materials and adaptive materials to help teach them how to regulating their senses.

My Project

The materials will help students get their wiggles out so they can focus their brains on the work they are doing. In addition, some of the materials can be used while they are working to keep them organized. Also, they need some adaptive materials to help with their developing skills.

These materials will greatly help the students learn to regulate themselves in the classroom.

They will work in small amounts of time before they need a break. These items will help them slowly learn to work longer and have more focused energy during their breaks. The materials will also help them stay regulated while they are working. This will greatly increase their learning potential, as they are all academically talented, just needing a little extra support.
