My Students

Students in my class all live within walking distance of school but despite their geographical similarities, they represent a myriad of backgrounds in terms of race, ethnicity, language, and socioeconomics. At school, we focus on collaboration and find ways to work together to build a strong classroom and a stronger school community by capitalizing on the strengths that come from our diversity. We work hard every day to make our great school even better and more inclusive of our diversity.

My Project

This fall I will start teaching in a new school and look forward to having active seating available for my students. I have found that Hokki stools provide the movement kids need to keep their bodies and brains on, and the quality and durability that classroom furniture needs to make it through the year. I am requesting stools in two different sizes to accommodate different heights.

I have found that when students are able to move their bodies during instruction and work time, they show more focus and engagement--and report liking school more!

With some Hokki stools in our classroom, we can start the year off right.
