My Students

My school is a Title I, performing arts and technology elementary school, in Astoria, NY. Our school believes in constant collaboration and teamwork. I am lucky to be a part of such a diverse group of students here in Astoria. I would describe my school day as one filled with excitement and wonder.

My students are talented, entertaining and eager to learn.

Despite the various challenges the students' face, they continue to learn and thrive. They greet each day with a smile and a known commitment to work together to excel in every way.

My Project

I would like to motivate my kindergarteners by creating a socially distanced, safe and FUN environment for which they can learn and thrive both socially and academically. I will do so by turning their desks into Jeeps. The sneeze guards will be used as the Jeep's front window. This will be a fun and creative way to add another layer of protection in the classroom.

The students’ Jeeps will take them all around the world and will be incorporated in every subject area.

Please help us "keep the wheels" of learning while having in our kindergarten classroom.
