This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Today, I'm asking donors to help support the purchase of a printer, paper, and additional toner for my middle school band program. The uses of a printer are fairly obvious–make copies and print documents. However, I argue that the purpose of a printer, such as this reliable Brother printer, go far deeper than simply giving out worksheets and tests.

Musicians use a lot of paper–especially young musicians who are constantly taking in new information, techniques, and suggestions from their music teachers.

By having tangible artifacts of their learning, as well as copies music they prepare for performances, students can write notes that make sense to them. Beyond my own needs in the band room, students often ask for copies of music they find online, but cannot print at home. Whatever the reason, I want to be able to provide my students as many opportunities as I can to learn music they want.

With many bureaucratic obstacles that prevent me from providing the kind of materials my students need, I would greatly appreciate your support in this project.
