This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our student library ambassador program is a vital part of the school library, especially helping to support the growing STEAM/STEM program on campus. Ambassadors, who are 4th and 5th graders, volunteer to help shelve books, assist fellow students, promote library resources, and maintain the makerspace. An important aspect of their role is to ensure the library, along with the makerspace, remains a clean and comfortable space for all students and staff.

We want simple cleaning supplies, like magic erasers, dusters, brooms, gloves, and special cleaners to help with this task.

By providing student ambassadors with these materials, we can empower them to actively keep the library clean and sanitized. This will create a more pleasant learning environment for students and staff to partake in amazing STEM materials and promote healthy habits and a sense of responsibility among our student ambassadors.
