Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Many of my students come from low-income households. They are athletes looking for opportunities to grow their talent in hopes of going to college as an athlete and being the first in their families to attend college.

I am the boys' volleyball coach and also the Spanish teacher.

I want to introduce the sport of Jai-Alai to my students in my Spanish class through the use of the scoop equipment and will be utilizing the football to help them compare/contrast sports of different countries plus they also seem to enjoy football. The charging port will be used for my students who stay after school charges their phones since they depend on them.

The volleyball program at our school has seen much growth but I need more volleyballs to help student-athletes perform well. This is the first year we have seen a lot of success in a long time and I believe being able to provide my students with the right equipment, they can do even better.

Any opportunity I am allowed to progress in the volleyball program helps my student-athletes achieve their dreams and aspirations.
