Keep Students Clean

Help me give my students items such as wipes, Kleenexes, underwear to be more independent and sanitary in the classroom.

My Project

My students are just becoming independent in First grade. I love how they like to help keep themselves and the classroom clean and organized. I station Kleenexes and hand sanitizer around the room so the supplies are close to each student. I keep food items for those that missed breakfast. Some of my students take medicine and need something on their stomachs. Sometimes they have just a little restroom accident so I keep clean underwear to discreetly change into.

The wipes, deodorants, and underwear would be available to discreetly be utilized by the students who come to school with an odor or have a slight accident or come in from recess with an odor.

These students tend to be made fun of by their peers, and I want them to be able to come to me for supplies that will help them maintain their personal hygiene. I also have students that are chronically late and miss out on free breakfast in the cafeteria. I keep some simple breakfast foods that they can have on those days so that they can focus on learning and not hunger.

I just love watching the students take ownership and pride in themselves and their room.
