My Students

The students I teach are in a TK/K and 1st/2nd grade combination class! They are in a Korean Dual Language Program at a Title I school in the heart of Los Angeles. Fun fact: Some students are learning their 3rd language! To describe them in one word: AMAZING!

My Project

Keep calm and carry on...with virtual learning! Friends in our class have been working hard with their limited resources at home. The whiteboards will allow every single friend in the class to be able to engage and participate without wasting or needing much paper at home! Our friends also love read alouds, especially with books that are relatable to them.

The books that we will read build classroom community, discuss emotions and diversity.

There are also classics like Dr. Seuss which our friends just LOVE! More than ever before, we need books that can spark joy which teach children to love reading. These resources will help students continue to come to the virtual classroom ready to learn with their materials and to leave after reading a fun book that sparks joy!
