Help me give my students a clean and welcoming classroom via a classroom vacuum, proper document camera, nice sitting area with a an educational rug, and clipboards!
Students thrive in neat and ordered classrooms, and 6th graders are very much ready to take on the responsibility of keeping the classroom clean. A classroom vacuum, belonging only to these students, will help instill a sense of ownership in their classroom's appearance, and hopefully encourage them to take pride in their self maintenance as well. To further that, the vacuum will be used on the new rugs located in prime reading locations. One of these rugs shows the ASL alphabet, so it will provide an educational opportunity as well.
Clipboards are a necessity for when we take learning beyond the classroom walls.
Outdoor science experiments, surveys and data collection from other classrooms, and interviews with other classes are just a few of the opportunities to learn beyond our four walls. Something as simple as clipboards support that need. The document camera provides enhanced learning in the classroom, as it allows us to minimize costs in making copies of every lesson; teachers instead project the material onto the front boards for students to engage with.
My students are ready to take on the responsibility of maintaining their classroom, as well as their materials outside of the classroom. Donating to this fund will help my students build up their virtue of responsibility and instill in them a pride of their space.
