My students need boy-friendly books to keep them reading.

My Students
"GROSS!" "Can you believe this?" "Teacher ... guess what I just learned?" These are the sounds I would love to hear coming from the mouths of my boy learners!
My 2nd grade students attend a suburban public school North Carolina with a 30% free and reduced price lunch rate.
I would love to see my boys engaged in their reading and growing as learners. Some of my students don't have books at home to help them explore on their own.
My Project
My students need boy-friendly books like Geronimo Stilton and the Grades 2-3 "Best for Boys" set with classic titles such as "How to Eat Fried Worms" and "The Chocolate Touch," and graphic novels about science like "The Heart: A Graphic Novel Tour" that will be of high-interest, and exciting to boys. Your donation to this project can help bring high-interest, exciting pieces of literature into my classroom to entice my boys to want to read and travel to other places ... all from the comfort of our classroom! These books will help introduce my boy readers to high-quality literature and help pave a way for a lifetime of reading!
Thank you for your interest in my classroom and my students, particularly my boys who are sometimes more reluctant to curl up with a good book.
Your donation to help us get these boy-friendly books and graphic novels will help arm my students with literacy skills they need to be successful in the future!
