My Students

My LARGE group of 32 first grade students have a wide variety of mixed interests, abilities, and goals. They have young, hungry minds. They are learning to read, write and build relationships with their peers. They look forward to fun and laughs. They have so many different opinions and ideas about everything. I love that at this age their educational growth is huge! They are eager and ready to learn! There are so many needs to meet, but somehow we get it done!

My Project

We have a lot of students in our classroom with not enough space for our materials. Having seat sacks will allow for the students to have easy access to their materials and less traffic in the classroom when trying to gather materials from different areas. It will also give students a responsibility to care for their materials. It will save time that can be used for instruction in the classroom. Right now the students have to get up and gather materials from different locations in the room. It will avoid some issues that occur in the classroom when it comes to student materials.
