Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students have just started first grade and they are willing to read and learn Math! Most of my students arrived at the school in kindergarten and they are in the bilingual program of the school. Many of them were affected by the natural disaster Hurricane Harvey and their families are still recovering from it consequences. My main concern is to make their lives easier while their learning and I am trying to foster the importance of learning to become better people. I think they will be very grateful if you help them too.

They love to come to school everyday because they feel happy while learning Math and Reading.

I have a group of 14 students willing to learn. They are all in need of a positive and structure environment to learn.

Most of them belong to a very poor environment and many of them do not have support or motivation from their parents.

So, with your support, you can help me to change their lives.

My Project

My students need the Microsoft Surface Go to work in the different stations as they can use it as a laptop or as a tablet to learn Math, Reading, Science and Social Studies.

The use of the Microsoft Surface Go in this activity will let them become more autonomous with their learning and focus on the different contents.

Some of the activities will be watching videos on Brain Pop Jr, Reading Tesoros, Science Fusion or Social Studies Weekly. The link is posted in our students log in computer access on the school website.

This activities will help the students with learning issues and will motive my GT students.

Finally, they will also have the opportunity to work with problem solving using this interactive activity in the Microsoft Surface Go.
