Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students all come from the low economic area but that shouldn't be a reason for showing them all the possibilities the world has to offer. My second-grade students are eager for knowledge and filled with curiosity and desire to learn. They are ready to make things happen by dragging, swiping, and clicking. For the third year in a row, my 2nd graders have been given the opportunity to use iPads in the classroom and at home. Thus, they have shown an eagerness that has sparked their imagination and eagerness that has enhanced different styles of learning. My students consist of English Language Learners, gifted and talented, and special needs. Educational technology has opened a pathway into learning that nurtures their creativity and helps promote high-order thinking and problem-solving skills. The possibilities are endless!

My Project

Cleaning products are an essential role in our daily lives in our classroom. By safely and effectively removing soils, germs, and other contaminants, they prevent the spread of infectious diseases and control allergens, such as dust and mold, helping us to stay healthy. Masks are also an essential part of our daily school lives. Many students are unable to have a clean mask daily and it is important I am able to help provide them with one. Chemicals used for cleaning our hands and our desks, such as hand sanitizer, Clorox wipes and disinfectant spray, help improve cleaning efficiency, making our classroom easier to clean and more hygienic for my students. Please help me get these supplies to keep my classroom clean and provide my students with a clean mask daily.
