We are a preschool class in Michigan. We serve low income, at-risk families and students and provide them with high-quality health and educational programs. We partner with organizations in our community to connect our families with the support they need to become strong families.
Our families are very diverse.
Exploring and celebrating our different cultures is important to us. We ask lots of questions and we notice everything around us! We are active and curious about our world and we love to play!
My Project
Our school day is very busy. Our room functions better the more organized we make our classroom. We need the 10-tiered storage drawers to contain and organize our daily materials for our morning meeting, handwriting, math and literacy group times. The strong magnets will keep our calendar pieces and other charts in place on the whiteboard. The chart storage box will keep our literacy and math materials clean and within reach. The baskets will help make our science and discovery table more inviting. We do so many art projects that the paper center will allow the students to easily choose a color of paper for their project on their own.
Organization helps promote independence and self-sufficiency in my four year old students!
When their environment is neat and tidy, it also promotes a sense of calm and safety. An organized classroom also makes for a happier teacher!
