Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a teacher of students with disabilities, my role is twofold. Serving as a case manager in addition to all instructional duties, I am responsible for promptly sending out detailed progress reports to the families I serve.

We are unfortunately experiencing a paper shortage, and I need a backstock supply to avoid delay in sending vital documents home.

These reports on student IEP goals are sent home during each grading period, which happens eight times per academic year. These are done so families are aware of how their child is progressing toward annual IEP goals in addition to the traditional grade reports sent by the school. Some students also require individual accommodations of pre-filled notes for each new unit and test review.

Envelopes, return labels, postage stamps, and ink are also needed in the event communications need to be printed and sent to families when we are on break and out of the building. Other vital items we need in our shared space for student accommodations are notebooks, filler paper, and sheet protectors.

Fully funding this project allows families to remain updated on their child's educational progress on time.
