My Students

We are a Title I all girls' school located in the inner city of Houston, TX. Over ninety six percent of my students come from low income households. My students are inquisitive and hard working with a passion for learning about the world they live in and aim to make it a better place for themselves and future generations. They strive for academic achievement in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics as well as Arts & Humanities and Multidisciplinary Studies. Their overall goal is to be college ready upon graduation.

My Project

My students thirst for information that is relevant and topics that pertain to social justice. They have a thrill for discussion and are passionate about news that is meaningful. With social unrest throughout the country and living through a pandemic these are unprecedented times. This school year also brings with it a highly anticipated election.

Donating to give a Flocabulary subscription will keep the girls connected to current events in an engaging manner while learning virtually.

Your support will ensure that our highly motivated girls will remain focused on learning during remote instruction.
