Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Providing snacks and cleaning supplies for students can significantly contribute to creating a calming and supportive environment for their well-being. Offering healthy snacks helps ensure that my students are nourished, which is essential for maintaining their energy levels and concentration. When students are satisfied and not preoccupied with hunger, they are more likely to feel comfortable and relaxed, creating a peaceful atmosphere conducive to learning or socializing. Snacks can also serve as a small comfort, especially in stressful times. Having a go-to option like chips, cookies, or other snacks can help calm anxiety, especially during long study sessions or difficult moments, offering a brief mental break. Additionally, a clean and organized environment is crucial for fostering a sense of calm. Clutter and mess can cause stress and anxiety, making it harder for my students to focus or feel at ease. By providing cleaning supplies, my students can contribute to keeping their space tidy, which promotes a sense of control and order. Regularly tidied areas also help reduce the likelihood of allergens or germs spreading, ensuring physical health and contributing to a more comfortable space.

Together, snacks and cleaning supplies help create a space that not only supports students’ physical needs but also contributes to their emotional well-being, reducing stress and promoting a calm, positive environment.

My students are so special to me because, through all the adversity they face, they continue to show up and work to the best of their abilities.
