My Project

We are looking to create a calming corner for our first year Kindergarten students. School can be overwhelming and we want to make sure our kids have a place to feel safe and relaxed. We will offer them a comforting teepee with fluffy pillows and rugs along with fidget toys. This environment and toys will allow for them to recollect their thoughts and emotions and get right back to learning! Aside from this, we are asking for a book shelf and bench. We will incorporate these in our corner and fill them with student favorite read alouds, calming corner posters and inspirational stickers. We want to make sure our students have the best first year experience in school. We want them to learn to the best of their abilities while feeling safe and excited to be there!
