This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
I have a classroom of eager learners, however many of them are easily distracted by what most would consider minor things. One of the main things that keeps students off-task is the simple need of a drink of water. Before COVID, students could easily drink from the water fountains located in the classrooms, however that is no longer the case.
Students must bring their own water from home or use cups provided by the teachers.
When they drop, some of the bottles break, spill, and/or make a loud distracting noise, especially the aluminum one.
We are a green school, and my school has recently installed a water bottle filling station in the cafeteria. This benefits students that come to school with a refillable water bottle, however many students do not bring them or theirs have broken.
More than a third of students from low‑income households
