My Students

Hello, I teach ICT 1st grade at a Title I school. My students are an amazing and wonderful group of 6-7 year olds who love to learn and have fun throughout the day.

They are becoming amazing readers and writers and love sharing what they learn with their friends and family at home.

First grade is crucial. They learn the foundation to everything they are going to do in their educational careers and need the right materials to help them succeed.

My Project

My students struggle with learning because we do not have all of the necessary materials for them to use. Chart paper will help my students learn by having great learning charts to hang around the room for them to use when learning. Post its, sentence strips and dry erase markers will help us label things around the room and in our books. We can use the markers to write on our dry erase boards as well during lessons.

Do you remember what it was like when you were just learning to read and write?

I'm sure you were given the necessary materials to ensure that you learned. We need primary journals to write in and pencils to write with. The journals have lines on the bottom that are wide and a clear space on top for drawing.

Please help my students receive all of the necessary materials to help them learn throughout the school year.
