My Students

Hello, I teach ICT 1st grade at a Title I school. My students are an amazing and wonderful group of 6-7 year olds who love to learn and have fun throughout the day.

They are becoming amazing readers and writers and love sharing what they learn with their friends and family at home.

First grade is crucial. They learn the foundation to everything they are going to do in their educational careers and need the right materials to help them succeed.

My Project

I want to help my students learn to read and write through the use of the right materials. My students need extra help because they are Special Education students. Materials like magnetic letters, lapboards, journals and other great materials to help them learn their letters and how to write. The journals will help them learn to write their letters by having tracable letters.

My students deserve to have every opportunity to learn.

Magnetic letters will help them learn to identify their letters, sounds and sight words. The mini boards and the single line write and wipe boards will be great for writing practice at the rug. The Language Journals will help them learn to read and write throughout the school year through great activities. The learn to print books will help them learn to strengthen their handwriting skills. They also need a behavior management chart. This chart will allow them to monitor their behavior and improve their social skills. Please help my students receive all of these necessary materials for use throughout the school year.
