My Students

My awesome Title I school is building its STEAM program for our 900+ brilliant students. Our community includes students of different social, economic, racial, and religious backgrounds. We also have gifted and talented, special education, and dual language classes. All of our students work hard and are excited and eager to learn.

My goal is to provide STEAM instruction for our K-5 students that focuses on cultivating students' innovative and collaborative approaches to problem-solving!

My Project

I am requesting STEM resources and kits to help our 900+ Kindergarten to 5th Grade STEAMologists go full STEAM ahead this year with hands-on lab materials and robots!

We will be using these resources to provide our diverse population with meaningful lessons and rich experiences in the STEAM subjects (science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics), while cultivating a culture of acceptance, critical thinking, and perseverance!

You will help bring plugged and unplugged activities right into our STEAMologists' laps as students explore and learn the basics of computational thinking, coding, 3D concepts and more! By actively linking STEAM concepts to other subject areas (literacy in particular), we hope to eventually focus on effective project based learning!
