My Students

Students at P.K.Y.D.R. School are part of an experiment in learning. Chosen from all over our county, my students represent the diverse cultural backgrounds and include 50% low-income families. In the art room, students get to make creative choices about their art and learning.

My Project

Almost all K-2 students love art classes and love making art. thye come to the door excited and leave the Art Room happy! Having interesting high quality art supplies, a variety of projects, and plenty of choice-making helps students to take ownership and keep a positive attitude about art throughout their elementary years and into middle and high school.

Having the art supplies they need helps my students to enjoy the creative process during Art Class.

Students in grades K-5 will use these materials to create artworks during their art classes. We need glue for collages, high quality colorful drawing chalks for drawings that have a painterly effect, and watercolor crayons for drawing and painting efficiently. Items like chalks, watercolor paints, and watercolor crayons are used up quickly by my 18 classes, so it's important to have a fresh supply ready!
