My Students

My students are from all over Brooklyn and even a handful from as far as Staten Island. They have diverse learning styles and many are alternatively assessed, meaning that they participate with adapted curricula and assessments.

Many of my students come from less than ideal economic circumstances, but they have a lot of heart and enjoy learning when it relates to their experience.

Help me provide them with educational experiences with which they can develop the confidence and character they need to succeed.

My Project

Many of the students in our school experience homelessness for sustained periods of time while they are enrolled in our school. In these circumstances, there are basic needs that sometimes just aren't met and this project is in place in order to help supply some of those basics.

We are asking for your help to supply underwear and socks to students who come to school without fresh, clean, or adequate undergarments on a regular basis.

Having these basic needs met goes a long way with regards to how a student perceives themselves among their peers, their general comfort and dignity, and their ability to focus on the academics that we aim to provide.
