Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This project will not only help our students stay engaged and motivated but will also create a positive learning environment where they feel valued and excited to learn. The challenge, however, is engaging students who may struggle with external factors that affect their attendance and schoolwork.

The resources requested—game consoles, games, and controllers—will serve as powerful incentives to encourage attendance and active participation in school.

For many of our students, access to these items is not easily attainable, and offering them as rewards provides an exciting and tangible goal. By tying these resources to academic and behavioral achievements, we want to create a culture where hard work, consistency, and perseverance are celebrated.

Students will earn entries into raffles by meeting specific attendance, academic, and behavioral criteria, promoting consistency and accountability. This system reinforces the idea that effort and commitment are rewarded, helping to build habits that will benefit them throughout life.

Video games provide a form of entertainment that allows people to unwind and escape from daily stressors. They can be a source of learning, entertainment, and relaxation. Playing video games can enhance cognitive functions such as problem-solving, critical thinking, and multitasking.

These materials are not just prizes—they are tools to inspire our students to invest in their education and their future. Thank you for helping our school provide opportunities that make a meaningful difference in their lives!
