Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Every day, I push my kids to love to read but unfortunately, we lack a set of high-quality and highly engaging books. Currently, we often read black and white paper books that have been copied on a copier. I am hoping to be able to provide my readers with engaging books that they can read daily. Once we read them in class and practice our learning target, they will be able to take them home and practice reading at home. They need books that are not too easy and not too hard but just right. The books I have requested range in levels. My students come with a wide range of levels and this bundle will service A-K leveled readers. Early readers need access to tons of books! The requested materials will allow students to engage in book discussions and book clubs. In addition, my students will be able to participate in small group instruction. I will be able to facilitate their learning and teach them strategies to help them become strong readers.

The requested materials will help those struggling readers meet their benchmarks.

Students will have access to many books that will support them in becoming grade-level readers.
