My Students

My students are curious and that curiosity tends to lead itself into additional lessons and projects.

My students attend high school in an extremely urban and high poverty area of New York.

They attend a public high school that strives to teach though wildlife connections. The students that would be utilizing these materials are in 9th grade and take Environmental Science. In this class we discuss wildlife conservation and we learn about issues facing animals around the globe. My students are curious and ready to learn about the world and wildlife around them. I want to to my best to ensure that nothing gets in the way for their thirst for knowledge.

My Project

I'm requesting ink for the printer I use to print out the images my students' use for projects and posters. In using a color printer to do this, they are able to have images that are more dimensional and true to life. In completing these assignments, images that are in color will hold more validity than those that are black and white. I also frequently use the printer to print out articles, and pictures that I want them to see.

The requested materials in this project will help my students in many ways.

These materials will not only allow my students to see color visuals of we are learning about, but they will also allow them to share what they are learning with their peers through posters and signs they create.
