Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students need and deserve basic classroom supplies. Although we are given a few boxes of pencils a year, these only last a few weeks! It's amazing how quickly we go through a box of pencils, crayons, or journals. Many of our families cannot afford to buy their children these basic supplies and the school doesn't always have enough to restock our shelves mid-year.

Providing my students with the supplies they need to get through the day allows me to focus on helping them access the curriculum, not finding a pencil.

My scholars should have the basic supplies to get through the day and learn to the best of their abilities. A lack of supplies they need should not hinder their ability to progress through the day. This should be the least of their worries. They deserve to have the basic supplies to help them learn.
