My students are eager to learn; their minds are open. Many of them have dealt with difficult realities, and I believe this book will empower them to not only take their own justice, but also to be a part of this larger movement that Stevenson has influenced. As a part of AP Language and Composition, we will embark on a unit that closely analyzes the issues within the US justice system, using this text as the backbone of our studies. The objectives are to analyze both Stevenson’s rhetoric as well as his arguments.
