This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My music students are awesome! Teaching all elective classes allows me to see many students that have a strong desire to be in my class.

Throughout all of my classes and activities, my students show a desire to learn about music and the enjoyment it can create in their lives as well as the lives of those around them.

The connections that music can make between students, their families, and members of the community are hard to quantify. They are, however, long-lasting and impact my students for many years to come.

My Project

With our return to full in-person instruction, the need to have enough guitars has become quickly apparent. A few guitars are well past their life expectancy and need to be replaced.

Beginning guitar classes continue to be very popular, with each class having the maximum amount of students.

With five guitar classes, these guitars get used for hours every day! This adds to the need for new guitars even more.

Having quality, name-brand guitars is necessary for high school students, ensuring they have a positive experience learning to play the instrument. These guitars will do just that, providing countless students the ability to learn guitar over the next decade.
