I teach twelve 1st and 2nd grade students with multiple disabilities, within a 12:1:1 setting. My school is a public school within a low-income, urban setting. Some of the disabilities within my class include emotional disturbances, ADHD, and other learning disabilities.

Have you ever felt overwhelmed or as if you do not know how to handle your feelings? Well, my students feel this way most of the time! Due to the nature of their disabilities, these children have a hard time remaining focused, dealing with their feelings, and controlling themselves. They are easily overwhelmed,angered,and frustrated, but don't know what to do when they feel this way.

We need yoga mats, yoga position cards, and yoga activity cards. By having these yoga materials the students will be able to learn the art of yoga breathing and movements. The yoga breathing will help them learn how to relax and deal with their feelings in a more positive way. Yoga will also help them to control their bodies and minds. These materials will help the students learn about yoga and get them interested in learning this activity.

Please help these children manage their feelings! Help them to learn how to deal with life and the stress that comes along with it. These materials will allow students to have a positive and effective way of handling their feelings.
