My Project

This year will bring on a new role in a new building, in a different part of the city! Instead of working with upper elementary students, I will now be responsible for producing growth and a love of learning with the primary grades. I can't wait to meet everyone in a few weeks and welcome them to my classroom. Before that can happen, the classroom is in need of a little bit of sprucing up to make it more appealing and engaging.

Upon moving into my new space, I couldn't help but notice that it needs a bit of love and updated furniture to make learning more welcoming.

After moving in, some of the existing rugs are a bit worn and the bookcases that are present have seen much better days. We already have a new carpet for our reading nook so it's only right that we are requesting a math carpet for our math corner! To keep the carpets clean, we are in need of a compact vacuum cleaner that will not take up much space! While I anticipate everyday spills, it's good to have a broom and dustpan handy as well to remedy those situations.

The most important resources are bookcases and mobile file cabinets. Students will be able to select books for independent or shared reading from the bookcase and I will be able to manage important files with the file cabinets. A clock to be able to keep track of our day as well as posters and reading nook pillows will make this project complete! We hope you can make our classroom more engaging and organized!
