My Project

In our Language Arts classroom, we spend a lot of time reading fiction from around the world. Our lessons are coupled with non-fiction articles so the students can gain knowledge about the world in which we live. Many of our students are excited to see what is going on and the high interest articles available in this magazine make the perfect complement to our novels.

The non-fiction component of Junior Scholastic will allow us to show the students how the skills and information we learn in class with fiction, can be easily transferred to non-fiction.

The high interest articles will keep the attention of every level reader in our class. Each student will be able to find something to interest them with the wide variety of topics available in the print and digital issues of the magazine.

The high quality writing found in this publication will also serve as an example for the students to use as they become more mature writers. By looking at the professional writing available in this magazine, the students can start to discover their strengths and weaknesses in their own writing.
