Help me give my students the best gross motor room ever. Your support will allow them the opportunity to continue learning; while improving their physical health, social and emotional skills and their ability to self regulate.

My Students
I work in a preschool classroom with eleven wonderful little people who have special needs. Our students are smart, funny, lovable and just amazing all around. We have students with disabilities that range from Autism to OHI (other health impairments). Those disabilities don't stop them from making strides towards their goals and learning new things.
One of the best things about coming to work everyday is seeing the smiles on their faces.
Some of our kids are nonverbal but they make sure to let us know in their own way that they love us. I always refer to our kids as my kids away from home. They make it so easy for you to love them. I'm thankful that I have the opportunity to work with and teach such an awesome group of children.
My Project
This project will help aid in building a physical learning environment that will meet the needs of the children in our classroom. When the weather is bad the students have limited resources to access to get their energy out and express themselves as they know how. It is proven that physical exercise improves a person's mood, physical health, and mental health; and our student could very much benefit from those benefits in the classroom setting. I believe by adding equipment like trampolines to our new gross motor room will help the students have fun, increase their social skills, improve their ability to focus and self regulate.
