Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Hula hoops are so versatile that not only are they used to help build gross motor skills as hulas, but we would use them as well to play large group games such as obstacle courses and relays to build football and basketball foundational basic skills.

In addition to physical fitness the equipment will be used in Science and Math lessons in the classrooms.

We work with teachers cooperatively to support them in their lessons. We've used the equipment throughout the year to help build Science and Math lessons through STEAM activities such as PI Day and showing the flow of energy in a closed circuit.

My goal is to enrich my student's PE experience with different activities through hoops that would not only build fitness and improve mental state of mind, but also share the equipment for academic related activities as well.
