Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students have started off the school year eager to learn and pick up where we left off in June. They have all shown so much growth in there in reading, writing and math. In my 12:1:1 class we often work in small groups to target skills that students are struggling with. Recently our school purchased a new online program called iRead. The program targets skills the students needs to master while all while gathering data that I can use to further my instruction. In September my school gave us a set of head phones ,but not only were were short four pair a few have malfunctioned or broke down on us as the school year progressed.

Having a variety of new wireless headsets will allow my students to focus more on the iRead program to enhance their reading skills in phonics and word study online.

The headsets will also eliminate the noise that often causes other students to become distracted while they are working. Also having dry erase markers will allow them to work out math problems on white boards. lastly the use of golf ball pencils supports my students with writing as most of them are in the beginning stages of tracing their names, sight words, simple sentences.
