My students need equipment for physical education. My students are learnimh skills that don't require equipment, but jump ropes, catch and throw balls, and activity boxes would be great.

My Students

Can you imagine teaching ball handling skills to 40 kindergarten-first grade students with only 2 balls or teaching them how to jump rope with only one rope? It's true! Many schools including my own have suffered budget cuts and are trying to make the best of what little equipment we have left.

All of my students are urban dwellers and have little or no access to space for running, jumping or exercise of any kind.

School is the place where they have plenty of room to run and play but many of them lack the basic motor skills to participate. Unfortunately, our school lacks equipment that would assist in developing these skills.

My Project

I am requesting 15 jump ropes so that a class of forty will not have to wait around to share 2 or 3 jumpropes. I've also included a jumping obstacle course and hopscotch carpet that can be indoor/outdoor access to practicing the skills needed to develop in these young students. Also, kindergrtners need to practice balance, catching, and throwing, so I've selected some activity bundles that will help develop these skills as well.

If you choose to donate to this project, you will be contributing to the development of not only basic motor skills but a joy of exercise and healthy kindergrteners!

By funding this project, my students will be able to not only develop the basic motor skills (run, jump, throw, catch, and balance) they need, but also learn to work collaborative with peers and gain self confidence too! Thanks for your time and consideration!
