Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Superstorm Sandy hit Far Rockaway and left behind horrific damage, leaving my students without everyday necessities. Their education is their lifeline and constant stability. Please help our classroom and fill it with some of our favorite books and supplies.

We are a Title 1 elementary school in NYC with a diverse population.

We are developing the students literacy and math skills and love for school. Our students are passionate and creative, however the school lack the funds to provide the materials for an extremely exciting classroom experience. Our goal is to enrich their lives so they will be lifelong learners and positive members of their community.

My Project

The read-along books are sets of classic literature with audio CDs. Students will be able to listen to the book while following along with their own copy. This allows students to focus on reading comprehension, pacing, and accuracy. The literacy and math games will allow students to work on specific math and reading skills in a fun way. We also need a timer to keep the class on task and the pace of the day moving appropriately.

Our young scholars are the future of this country.
