I teach at a beautiful school in Miami. My scholars enjoy a good challenge and absolutely love writing and drawing in their journals. I am getting prepared for the upcoming school year as I had to go out of pocket this year due to supplies and journal books running out.
This Earth Day week, I did quite a few activities with them that are currently decorating their creative wall or they took home.
I would like to have reading journals for my students so that their projects, written activities, and drawings can be all in one place and given to them at the end of each quarter or the end of the school year depending on how much was done in those journaling books. I am also asking for a case of 10 reams of paper so I can print our valuable literacy resources for my students.
In the reading journal, students would write about how they recycled, reused, and reduced in class and at home. They will also journal or draw about what they learned that day about the earth and our environment in these reading journals.
