Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students have the potential to express themselves through art! They get frustrated when their art supplies no longer work! Having the right technology will open new doors to creativity

I teach art in a public school setting, 2nd grade through 5th grade.

They are as diverse as a box of crayons! They are at various academic and creative levels, and some are varying exceptionalities. Some are brand new to the art room and some are already budding artists!

My Project

Having a projector would bring the art room much needed technology for students to view famous artwork, view websites with tutorials and see visuals no matter if they're sitting in the front or in the back of the class. An all-in-one printer can be used for Pop Art projects, printing visuals and scanning artwork for online exhibits. Markers are basic supplies that we're lacking!

Having an active art program is very difficult in light of the current climate surrounding student and school success and lack of funding of arts programs in our state.

Please help my students discover their creativity, their potential for high order thinking and a way of self-expression!
