Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are a fabulous bunch of kind humans exposed to traumatic situations daily. Sadly, my school is in the middle of many housing apartments and a poor neighborhood. Yet, despite the challenges, my students come to school every day with a HUGE smile and are ready to learn, and I love that about them. Having the puzzles and snack items for them will provide many opportunities for me to connect with them. In addition, I envision having small gatherings during lunch to support them in engaging with peers in a non-structure setting to nurture relationship building and positive social interactions.
