My Project

My students are an eager group that love to explore different types of music. They work hard at their music abilities and want an opportunity to add to their profile of music learning.

The Jazz band experience for my students would be a new opportunity for them and one that would enhance their understanding of music.

Learning different types of music helps students be a more well rounded musician. This allows them to not only learn about traditional music, but music around the world.

Studying jazz will also help my students understand the origins of jazz and the African American musicians that started style of music. This understanding helps further educate my students in our diverse world of music.
