I teach students in a functional skills classroom. In the classroom, we focus on functional academics, job skills, community-based instruction, daily life skills, and social skills. These students love to learn and grow and strive to be as independent as possible.
My Project
All of the students in my classroom need support in order to appropriately interact and communicate with others. These materials will help students learn and practice appropriate social and life skills.
The chosen materials will help my students learn social and life skills in a variety of ways such as social stories, video modeling, social situations, role-playing, and games.
It will also give them multiple opportunities to practice those skills that they have learned. With these materials, I feel that I can better prepare them to socialize and interact with others on their own.
