This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

For the past three years I have been building our dance program in our school. Where not only rhythm and dance is foster but fitness as a big foucs point. With an increase rate of childhoood obesity I strive to make a difference. My studentsbhave welcomed dance fitness with open minds. They are always excited to walk into my studio and willing to learn. I vibe so much of their energy that at times I forget am working because they make dance fitness that enjoyable. Many of my students are non- native speakers and as we all know music is a univeral language. I believe DANCE teaches and builds self-efficacy and for this reason with your help I strive to give my students the best classroom experience.

My Project

My Dance fitness class is all about getting in shape!

My curriculum includes weight lifting, aerobics, and more through dance.

Our school is very limited in resources. My students are consistently looking to challenge themselves and well 2 pound weights just don't cut it anymore.

My girls are asking me for more weights on a daily bases and with your help, I am hoping to Build our fitness program. My Girls will use these dumbells to build their muscular strength and tone. Unlike, most teenage girls my students are not afraid to lift Heavy and are well aware of all the benefits weight lifting offers.
