My students are some of the hardest-working students with endless potential. They are very creative and have huge entrepreneurial spirits. We want to harness that into them creating their own content for the school to view and for the world to view. With such multitalented students, there is so much that can be showcased but we don't have the right equipment to do that.
My students have so much to say and share with the world; they just need an opportunity to be heard.
They are talented and creative enough to produce their own content for others to consume. This starts with the daily morning broadcast that our students are currently producing. Right now, we do not have the equipment to broadcast live in the mornings; therefore, our students are having to go old school and prerecord their segments with a webcam and edit it in PowerPoint to produce a video. This takes up more time than the students really have, so I am often left finishing up their editing.
We want our students to have more control and be hands-on in the production and to do this we need to do live recordings. The requested camera and table stand will allow us to live stream the morning broadcast to the school and to do special reporting and content when there are special events. Our students will have the opportunity to truly learn about being content makers and start a career early on. With the amount of talent, knowledge, and creativity my students have, the sky really is the limit on what they can do, or should I say the lack of equipment is the limit on what they can do.
