My Students

Welcome to our class! We are a 4th-grade learning community that thrives in challenges and problem-solving. Currently, the students are starting off the year with distance learning, hoping to return to the classroom soon.

Our school is a high poverty, Title 1 school, with high expectations for all.

Its main focus is to provide a rich and culturally diverse program that prepares students to be lifelong learners and active participants who contribute to their community and the world around them.

My students are amazing! They come from diverse backgrounds and are so excited to learn. I want to give them the tools they need to become successful problem-solvers in the 21st century!

My Project

Fourth graders are interested in learning about everything! With the COVID-19 pandemic causing us to start the year off with distance learning, it's really important that I get my students excited about learning. A digital subscription for TIME for Kids will give my students the opportunity to get enthusiastic about reading by engaging them in age-appropriate kid-friendly stories that are filled with information that helps explains the world around them. They will also, have the opportunity to learn about financial literacy, through bonus additions which are included with the subscription.

By donating to my TIME for Kids project, you will help give my students the opportunity to learn about current events and financial literacy while teaching them to value authentic and trustworthy journalism.

Teaching with TIME for Kids Magazine will also give my students many opportunities to practice reading while using important critical thinking skills that engage them in topical conversation, even when we're not in the classroom.
