Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Every student deserves a small treat for their hard work. Our students come from low-income households where the majority of parents/guardians work in the agricultural fields. With the skyrocketing prices of groceries and rent, the majority of parents/guardians are not able to afford extra snacks or Christmas gifts.

With this project I would be able to provide my students a Christmas stocking filled with small treats like chips, cookies, chocolates, gummy bears, and christmas glasses.

I plan on having the students write their names on the stockings with glitter to take home and display it at home as decorations. The Christmas glasses students will use during their winter singing program.

Receiving a filled Christmas stocking is every kid's dream. Help me make this dream come true for my students. It may seem like something insignificant but to my 6th graders it would mean the world. They are hard working children who give it all in their education without expecting anything in return.
