My Project

These items will help my students to be able to work independently and at their own level. The kindergarteners are reading and writing this time of year.

The seats would be very handy so that the students do not have to sit in their hard chairs while they are reading.

They could sit on the hardwood floors using the cushions. This will make the act of reading much more pleasurable.

The students like to do hands on crafts and manipulate text by cutting and pasting words. This is a part of our writing program. Glue sticks are handy so that students can independently paste without creating a mess. Glue sticks are perfect for little hands. Some of my students are reading above the level of the classroom library and these books would proved more “just right” reading opportunities.

Finally, the students love to use dry erase markers and boards as a way to practice writing without little risk. We have adequate supplies of whiteboards, but would benefit from new dry erase markers. Like most students, mine have worked hard to get where they are today. These items would provide opportunities for learning in various ways, each one simple but much needed. Thank you.
