My Students

For many of my students, Kindergarten is their first experience in a school setting. They begin the year thinking we will spend the day playing together, and I want my classroom to feel like that as much as possible.

Kindergartners are eager to learn and do their best, and I strive to instill a love of learning at an early age.

My students attend a Title I school in Virginia where we value making connections and putting the needs of students first.

My Project

Sometimes the littlest things make the biggest difference. Our classroom needs a variety of little things, including cleaning products for our electronics and improved storage for our art supplies. My students love to build and create and need some additional construction toys, Squigz and building block toys to add to the small sets we already have. Dry erase boards and markers will be used in our small reading and math groups. Certificates will be used to celebrate student accomplishments such as counting to 100 and learning letter sounds.

I love working with the energy of the Kindergarten students!

Their endless imaginations allow them to use tools and toys in many creative ways. The requested materials will be used in my classroom this year and hopefully for many, many years to come. Please help these young students start their school lives off with a strong foundation and a love for learning.
